He is my first guru... he taught me my first musical note. I still nourish the childhood memory when I was taught my very first bandish (song based on a raga or scale) in raga behag. I was his most loved person & he was very much over protective regarding me.
He was always taking me to his concerts where I first experienced, to be amongst a very large audience as a performer.
He always believed that I shall be an Indian classical musician. His wish came true, but he is no longer in this world. He left behind a great legacy with many myths. He was the most uncompromising character of Indian classical music. He still lives & will live forever in peoples heart.
Mysteriously all of his audio recordings stored on provincial & national archives are missing without any trace! This is one of the most heinous act of crime in the history of Indian classical music.
An open appeal to all
